The Flamingo Float is one of Tampa Bay’s most colorful and exciting annual events, taking place at John's Pass in Madeira Beach. This fun-filled, family-friendly fundraiser is FREE to attend, making it a perfect day out for locals and visitors alike. To join the race, it’s just $5 to adopt a flamingo, with all proceeds benefiting the Children’s Dream Fund. Depending on where you park, there may be a small parking fee near John’s Pass Village & Boardwalk.

The Flamingo Float at Madeira Beach is more than just a race - it’s a community celebration with a mission. Every flamingo adoption helps support the Children’s Dream Fund in granting life-changing dreams for children battling life-threatening illnesses across the St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay area. To date, the nonprofit has granted over 4,200 dreams, ranging from meeting sports heroes to unforgettable family adventures.

By participating in the Flamingo Float, you’re not only enjoying a day of fun but also helping to bring hope, joy, and lasting memories to children and families in need.
