How will I know if my flamingo wins?

Prizes will be awarded in order to eligible entrants, as name appears on adoption form or online entry, whose entry number corresponds with the number on the first rubber flamingo in order of finish.

Winners will be notified by telephone or email as indicated on the entry form or information provided online at the time of adoption. The winner does not need to be present to win. Winners will be announced on the website at https://www.childrensdreamfund.org as soon as all of the winners have been notified.

Yes, adoptions will be available the morning of the race until approximately until 10:00am or until we sell out of flamingo adoptions.

Can I adopt a flamingo for my child?

Flamingo adoptions must be made in the name of an adult, age 18 or older.

Are they real flamingos or rubber flamingos?

Rubber flamingos, of course!

What happens to all the flamingos after the race?

Once the flamingos are dropped into the pass and race to the finish, they are collected by volunteers and staff throughout the pass to ensure no flamingo is left behind! Once the flamingos are collected, they are washed off and packed up to head to their next float.

Once I adopt a flamingo, do I get to keep it?

Unfortunately, our flamingos are very busy and need to head off to another float after ours, so you won’t be able to keep the race flamingo you purchased. However, if you’d like to take a rubber flamingo home, you can purchase a souvenir flamingo at the Flamingo Festival on race day.
